My Background

Hi. My name is Denise and I am the founder of Learn with LEAFy.

I have been working in Education for over 15 years in KS1 and KS2 and I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Education Studies. I also have experience working with pre-school children.

I believe tutoring should be based around FUN! Optimising a child’s learning through fun, games, crafts and activities. I get satisfaction out of seeing a child learn, grow, develop and achieve new things.

I have experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Dyslexia, Autism and ADHD.

I am already DBS checked and I have public liability insurance.

Why LEAFy?

LEAFy is an acronym for Learning,Education,Action and Fun. Lessons will be tailor made based on your child’s individual needs and interests.

What does LEAFy offer?

LEAFy offers both individual tuition and small group sessions in KS1 and KS2 for Maths and English.
LEAFy also offers group sessions for pre-school children and their parents to learn the basics of PHONICS. Due to Covid 19, these are currently done through online webinars.
LEAFy also make and provides resources to help you with your child’s learning at home e.g. phonics games, and arts and crafts based around some areas of the National Curriculum e.g. times tables, spelling etc.
